Preheat oven to 350• In a mixing bowl, add two sticks of room temp butter and cream well
Mix in 3/4 cup plus 2TB white sugar, 1 cup plus 2TB brown sugar and 2 tsp vanilla and 2 eggs
Cream this well. I let it beat a few minutes while I get the dry ingredients together
Add 1 1/2 c each: bread flour and pastry flour. DO NOT substitute (The pastry flour is usually in the organic section of your grocer) Also 1 tsp each: bak soda and bak powder and 1/2 TB of salt
This is the holiday bag of chips I use. Dump the whole bag and about a cup of chocolate chunks
I use about half the bag of the chunks :) Blend slowly and blend well
Use a large scooper
Leave them rounded on the cookie sheet and give them space to cook as they will spread during baking
Bake about10-12 minutes. Keep an eye on them. My son likes them less done than I like to cook them
This is my cookie base for all my cookies. I make an oatmeal cherry white choc, and choc chip with this base. It's an excellent cookie starter. Enjoy!!!
